The “Beowulf” legend’s fictional origins were also explained in Michael Crichton’s “Eaters of the Dead,” which was later adapted as John McTiernan’s “The 13th Warrior.”

I haven’t heard anyone mention the word “Beowulf” in anything I’ve read about the movie, but my guess is that this is the origins of the Beowulf legend.

God, this sounds cool! It’s a like a cross between “Pathfinder” and “Predator” with a little “I Come In Peace” thrown in. Wow, and “Jesus” has come a long way, hasn’t he?
