What, another action movie based on a videogame? Sure, why not. This time it’s “Kane and Lynch”, with Bruce Willis already attached to play Kane, a prison death row inmate who is busted out of prison by his old crew in order to recover the stolen fortune they believe Kane took. Foxx will play Lynch, the other deathrow inmate who escapes along with Kane, and who joins Kane as they go in search of the money. The catch? The bad guys have Kane’s wife and daughter, and Lynch may not be such a great partner, being slightly psychotic and trigger happy and all. Basically, Willis is playing the straight man to Foxx’s joker.
Veteran stunt coordinator and second unit director Simon Crane is directing the movie adaptation for Nu Image/Millennium, with Willis also producing.
There is already a sequel to the game, “Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days” scheduled for release sometime in 2010.
