Been waiting for that “Kick Ass” sequel? Well you might eventually get it (the film did gross just around the $100 million mark worldwide, not counting DVD sales, so I think it’s safe to say it was a moderate hit, and that’s always been enough for Hollywood to greenlight a sequel), but it will most likely be without original writer and director Jane Goldman and Matthew Vaughn.
Speaking to HeyUGuys at the UK red carpet premiere of her latest film, James Watkins’ “The Woman in Black”, the fiery red Goldman confirmed that Vaughn was out of “Kick Ass 2”, and as a result, so is she. You can see what she has to say below. I’ve even cued the clip up for ya, cause that’s how nice I am.
Mark Millar, who created the comic book, has already written the comic book sequel from which the movie sequel would be base on. The ballsy titled “Kick Ass 2: Balls to the Wall” finds teenage superhero Kick Ass once again teaming up with Hit Girl to face new foes with predictably cussing-up-a-storm and bloody results.
