Japan Deals With Yet Another Zombie Apocalypse in Sun of the Dead

“Sun of the Dead” landed on DVD in Japan last October, and I’m honestly surprised more attention hasn’t been drawn to it. For an obviously low-budget zombie flick, it doesn’t look that bad, though I tend to be a bit of cheap J-horror splatterfests fanboy. If you speak Japanese, the film is ready for consumption should you wish to purchase a copy. However, those of us who aren’t well-versed in the language may have to wait a while for someone to acquire and translate the picture. To be perfectly honest, I don’t see that happening anytime soon. I hope I’m wrong.

You can check out the official “Sun of the Dead” website by traveling here.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at) beyondhollywood.com.
