Get ready for another haha-funny fest with Jason Bateman and Vince Vaughn. After working together on such films like “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story” back in 2004 and “The Break-Up” in 2006, the comedy duo are teaming up once again for “The Insane Laws” according to Deadline.
According to the site, Universal Pictures is in early talks with Bateman to star with Vaughn in The Insane Laws, a comedy that will mark the feature directorial debut of screenwriter Jeremy Garelick. Here’s the plot’s synopsis:
Bateman and Vaughn will play longtime best friends, who’ve shared everything, from college to the time both got married and had kids at the same time. Cut to when those kids are away at college, and, unbeknownst to their parents, falling in love. The best friend relationship is sorely tested when the daughter of Vaughn’s character gets pregnant.
So I’m guessing while the kids are away and to relive some “oh my god! She’s pregnant!” hyperventilating, freak out moments, Vaughn and Bateman will break some laws before the kid pops out?
If all goes according to plan, production could begin later this fall.
