Jason Reitman (“Thank You For Smoking”) has come onboard “Jennifer’s Body” to direct the horror-comedy movie written by “Juno” scribe Diablo Cody (the name her mom gave her, I’m sure). Reitman will also be producing the film with partner Dan Dubiecki via their Hard C production company for Fox Searchlight. The film is already set to star Megan Fox, fresh off “Transformers”, though whether Fox will play the titular Jennifer, or the “plain Jane” character remains a mystery. But considering that Fox is anything but a plain Jane, well, Hollywood can play with mirrors all they want, but it’s gonna be a stretch to turn Fox into anything but a fox.
The Hollywood Reporter has more:
“Body” tells the story of a cheerleader who is possessed by a demon and starts feeding off the boys in a Minnesota farming town. Her “plain Jane” best friend must kill her, then escape from a correctional facility to go after the Satan-worshiping rock band responsible for the transformation.
Throwing horror onto the Hard C slate isn’t that much of a stretch for the company, which was built on the success of “Thank You for Smoking” and is developing the comedy “Bonzai Shadowhands” with Rainn Wilson at Searchlight.
Megan Fox + Cheerleader Outfit = Must See. Although they will have to cover up those Godawful ugly tattoos that covers every inch of the girl’s skin. What is it with hot girls and ugly tattoos?
