Jason Statham Confronts James Franco in First Images and Poster for Homefront

The idea of Jason Statham fighting James Franco is still a tad ludicrous to me, but then again, Franco really did transform himself into a pretty convincing drug dealer in “Spring Breakers”. This time around, the ubiquitous Franco is a meth dealer named Gator, and he gets more than he bargains for when retired DEA agent Jason Statham moves into his town and tries to put an end to his meth dealing ways.

Here’s your first images and poster from Gary Fleder’s upcoming “Homefront”. They’re not very menacing pics, to be honest with you. What is this, a crime/action movie, or an indie drama about misunderstood meth dealers? Where’s Statham with his shirt off and shooting people with a shotgun?

Phil Broker is an ex-DEA agent who moves his family to a quiet town hoping to escape his past. However, he finds the town to be overrun with violence, drug traffickers and an evil meth magnate named Gator. To save his endangered family, retribution is now the only thing Broker seeks.

The film also co-stars Kate Bosworth, Winona Ryder, Rachelle Lefevre, and Izabela Vidovic as Statham’s kid. Sylvester Stallone wrote the script, based on the novel by Chuck Logan.

It’s Statham vs. Franco this November 27th.

Okay so it’s a Steven Segal movie without Steven Segal! Isn’t this basically the premise for “Marked for Death” ? Whatever it’s probably gonna be fun.

I never thought i would see Jason Statham and Winona Ryder in the same movie…but as long as he gets to show some of his acting skills it’s great…This one looks like it won’t be just guns and kicks…

So, wait. Are they setting up Franco for a part in the next big Expendables movie?
