Jean Claude Van Damme in UFO (2013) Movie Image

Dominic Burns’s “U.F.O.” stars Jean-Claude Van Damme and his daughter, Bianca Bree. But mostly it stars Bianca Bree, with Jean-Claude Van Damme kinda showing up towards the end of the trailer with a shotgun. Judging by the limited footage of the Claudester in this two-minute spot for “U.F.O.”, I’m guessing JCVD has a cameo. Or an extended cameo. One of those. The film itself, a British import, doesn’t look too bad if you don’t mind alien invasion flicks without a $100 million dollar Hollywood budget. Check out a poster and trailer for the film below when you get the chance.

It started with a blackout, all power and communications down. Hours later city sized UFO’s invade the world’s skies. Then the war began… Five friends attempt to navigate their way to survival amidst deteriorating chaos as the world descends into terror and anarchy during an alien invasion and interstellar war.

“U.F.O.” stars Bianca Bree, Sean Brosnan, Simon Phillips, Julian Glover, Sean Pertwee and Jean Claude Van Damme. It was written and directed by Dominic Burns, but no word on a release date yet.

After seeing Van Damme in “JCVD” and his vicious role in “The Expendables 2″, he still has the juice. And this film looks better that “Battleship”, “The Darkest Hour”, “Battle: Los Angeles”, “Skyline” and “The Day The Earth Stood Still” (2008) already. I enjoyed “Attack The Block”, “District 9″ and “Save The Green Planet”. “Super 8″, “Monsters” and “Cloverfield” were very good alien creature run amock films and amongst my favorites. But “War of the Worlds” (2005), “Signs”, “Independence Day”, “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” and “The War of the Worlds” (1953) are my favorite alien invasion films.

Oh, and another one of my favorite alien invasion films is “Earth vs. The Flying Saucers” (1956).

If Van Damme is in it, I’ll give it a shot.

  • Anyone want a UFO DVD :(

Silly me for buying this through lack of choice and, going off the title….. It has spaceships in it. All it would need is a laser battle and my thirst will quench.

This is without doubt the worst excuse for a si fi flick I have every seen without a single redeeming moment.
