Jean-Claude Van Damme is … The Shepherd

Fans of the Muscles from Brussels unite! (I’m sure there are one or two of you still out there…) Jean-Claude Van Damme returns to fight crime in the direct-to-DVD movie “The Shepherd: Border Patrol”. In the action pic, JCVD will play a former cop turned border patrol agent who beats the living crap out of drug mules and crimelords, etc. The big deal, I believe, is Van Damme taking on Scott Adkins, another high-kicking martial arts actor.

More:

A rogue American Special Forces (Scott Adkins, Stephen Lord) unit schemes to smuggle $35 million worth of heroin into the United States, and all that stands in its way is border patrol agent Jack Robideaux (Jean-Claude Van Damme), an ex-homicide cop with a hidden agenda. Taking on suicide bombers, sadistic tortures and traitorous officials on both sides of the border, Jack shows no mercy as he single-handedly attempts to destroy the cartel in this explosive action thriller.

Starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Scott Adkins, Stephen Lord, Gary McDonald, and Natalie J. Robb, and directed by Isaac Florentine (”Special Forces”).

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release “The Shepherd” on DVD March 4th, 2008.
