Jeff Renfroe’s Post-Apocalyptic The Colony Checks in with a New Trailer

The Colony (2013) Movie Poster

I love me a good ol fashioned post-apocalyptic, people living in snowy underground outpost while feral creatures try to break in and eat them movies. There’s a lot of that in Jeff Renfroe’s “The Colony”, it seems like, and the film’s trailer (which you can see below) certainly doesn’t disappoint. It stars Laurence Fishburne and Bill Paxton (“Game over, man, game over!”) and looks like a good ol fashion creature feature. But set in the post-apocalypse and with lots of snow. Good times, good times.

Check out a new poster, a handful of new images and a new trailer for the film below.

Years ago, winter came and never went away. Beneath the surface of an ice-covered world, survivors in Colony Seven struggle to keep their fragile society from collapsing as food dwindles and temperatures drop. Already plagued by illness and internal conflict, the colonists suspect the worst when they lose contact with the only other known settlement. A small group decide to go on a dangerous expedition to discover what happened and what they find is worse than they could have ever imagined. Now the fight for survival really begins.

Starring Laurence Fishburne, Kevin Zegers, Bill Paxton, Charlotte Sullivan, John Tench, and Atticus Dean Mitchell.

The film opens on VOD and in theaters (a very limited release would be my guess) this September 20th.
