Jeff Renfroe’s The Colony Delivers its First Post-Apocalyptic Trailer

Laurence Fishburne in The Colony (2013) Movie Image

I’ve been following Jeff Renfroe’s post-apocalyptic monster movie “The Colony” for a while now, and it looks like all that waiting has paid off. Check out the first trailer for the sci-fi/horror film, which stars Laurence Fishburne and Bill Paxton as a pair of bickering old guys that must lead a bunch of young whippersnappers against some cannibal types with humanity at stake. You know, that old thing. The trailer is very revealing, and I’m pretty sure it gives away the movie’s entire three acts, but that seems inevitable these days, right?

Fans of post-apocalyptic cannibal movies should be intrigued. Me, I’m just wondering if Bill Paxton will somehow fit in his famous line from “Aliens”. His character certainly looks like he’s prone to freaking out…

Forced underground by the next ice age, a struggling outpost of survivors must fight to preserve humanity against a threat even more savage than nature.

Also starring Kevin Zegers, Charlotte Sullivan, and John Tench.

No word on a release date yet, but expect it in 2013 or thereabouts.
