Jenna Dewan is a Hot, Holy Warrior in Magdalena

Wow. I never thought I’d see the day when a Hollywood trade like The Hollywood Reporter, usually known for their shorthand description of pretty much everything (even when there’s no call for it, natch), describes a movie using words like “a hot, holy warrior”. And here I thought words like “hot” were reserved exclusively for us monkeys on the Interwebs and our 5 people readership. But I digress. The latest comic book to get the movie treatment is Top Cow’s “Magdalena”, about a long line of female warriors that fight supernatural evil throughout history.

Although I’ve never seen or picked up the comic, but knowing Top Cow and their stable of horny ass artists as I do, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that most of this “long line of female warriors” end up doing their supernatural fighting wearing very little clothing. Call it a hunch.

THR has more on the comic and the movie version, as well as the casting of Luke Goss in the movie:

Dewan is set to play Patience, a woman who discovers that she’s a part of the lineage of female warriors descended from Mary Magdalene who fight supernatural evil.

Goss will play Kristof, an agent sent by the secret organization that has been the guardian of the lineage.

Here’s one of those hot, holy warriors. (Okay, so I guess I was wrong; these girls seem to wear more clothing than your average Top Cow heroine.)

By the way, congrats to Jenna Dewan. She sure has become quite the success, especially after her debut in the teen horror movie “Tamara”. Usually when an actress starts off in a low-budget horror movie, they stay there. Props to Dewan, who is just flat out gorgeous, for surpassing her humble beginnings with an honest to goodness movie career. Did I mention she’s hot?
