Jennifer Garner Joins Ghosts of Girlfriends Past
Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2008) Movie — By Nix on September 18, 2007
I know Jennifer Garner can do these romantic comedies standing on her head with two hands tied behind her back, but I wish she’d do more action movies instead. I’m just being very selfish here, I know, but I just can’t stand romantic comedies. They’re all just so damn … AWFUL. Anyways, Jennifer Garner is currently in negotiations to star alongside Matthew McConaughey in the movie “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past”. It sounds like it has the makings of a thriller or horror movie — that is, until you read the premise: “The story centers on a charming womanizer who is visited by the apparitions of girlfriends past, present and future while attending the wedding of his younger brother. He eventually realizes that he is in love with his childhood sweetheart.” Romantic comedy all the way, most definitely.
Mark Waters will direct the film from a screenplay by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore for New Line Cinema. Jon Shestack and Brad Epstein are producing.
Shooting is scheduled to begin in January.
