The first trailer for “The Fighter” director David O. Russell’s “Silver Linings Playbook” begs the question, “Can two screwed up people meet cute and live happily ever after?” The answer: “Yes, if it’s a movie.” Of course, I don’t know for sure that Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence’s characters end up together happily ever after in “Silver Linings Playbook”, but that’s the sense I’m getting. But even if they don’t end up together, it’ll probably be one of those inspirational parting of ways, given that this seems to be going for a feel-good vibe. Unless, of course, the trailer is totally and completely lying its ass off, which is also highly possible.
After spending four years in a mental institution, a former teacher moves back in with his mother and tries to reconcile with his ex-wife.
