I thought it was a worthy effort even if it could have been much better. I think a new film version is long overdue and I believe casting the perfect leading lady can make it work. I like Rose McGowan. She's a very good actress. There's something in her that makes me think she can be right for the sci-fi heroine. I've never seen Jessica Biel play a villainess before and I'm interested to see what kind of nemesis she'd make. So long as the talent and film's potential aren't wasted, Barbarella fans should be rewarded.
