The Hollywood Reporter reports that Jesus Christ himself, Jim Caviezel, is bringing his super-intense eyes to director Antonio Negret’s thriller “Transit”. So far the cast includes Elisabeth Rohm (“Angel”), Harold Perrineau (“Oz”), Diora Baird (“The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning), and James Frain (“True Blood”).
In the story line, thieves on the run from a bank robbery come across a suburban family on its way to a camping trip. When the criminals stash their stolen money in the family’s SUV at a rest stop, the road trippers, with Caviezel as the protective father, unwittingly draw the murderous band of outlaws on their trail.
Courtney Solomon (“Universal Soldier: Regeneration) is producing the picture for After Dark Films, and Joel Silver is on board as an executive producer of Michael Gilvary’s script. Caviezel recently starred in AMC’s remake of “The Prisoner”, which I haven’t watched yet, but Patrick McGoohan’s original is awesome.
