I am totally digging Jim Caviezel in “Person of Interest” on CBS. I’ve always likened the show to what a “Punisher” TV show would look like if someone got off their ass and actually did a TV show based off the Marvel character. And Caviezel, as a former CIA black ops spook cleaning up the streets of New York one “person” at a time, is pretty damn awesome. Microchip — er, I mean, Finch — played by Michael Emerson ain’t bad, either.
Not content with just dealing out justice on the tube, Caviezel will be joining the cast of Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the prison break movie “The Tomb”. Caviezel will play the Warden of the prison where Stallone’s character, “the world’s foremost authority on structural security”, is framed and ends up. Turns out, the prison is one of many that Stallone’s character designed to be escape-proof, but nevertheless, Stallone will have to break out and clear his name.
Schwarzenegger will co-star as an inmate who befriends Stallone’s character. Producer Mark Canton is promising “real screentime” between the two musclebound heavies, and likens their roles to Al Pacino and Robert De Niro’s in “Heat”. That’s … kind of a stretch, but don’t tell them I said that.
Mikael Håfström (“1408”) is directing the film from a script by Miles Chapman.
By the way, here’s Arnold and Sly both recently in the hospital, taking their turns getting shoulder surgery:
