True but your guy is too old. He can do one maybe two flicks and then gotta worry bout arthritis, tendonitis, and crap. Actors bulk up for their parts all the time, not saying Tatum is perfect for the part but not saying he can't gain the muscle. Look at Bale, was ridiculous looking in AMerican Psyco did the Machinist and was skin and bone and put it back on for Batman Begins. It is possible. Will Smith is another example.

Neil Fifer http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1292175/ is the best choice for Captain America (by far)! 6′ / 250lbs. Light Blue eyes. Cleft chin… etc. etc. etc. Captain America isn’t just a ‘pretty boy’… he IS a Super Soldier. Ex-Models with pencil necks aren’t going to match this character.

Excellent news, Marvel. Joe Johnston is a solid choice, and "The Rocketeer" is one of my favorites, too, although I wished they had kept the original comics' Doc Savage angle in it.

But, who will be the Star-Spangled Avenger?
