Hammer, who last gave us the Daniel Radcliffe supernatural horror “The Woman in Black”, announces that they’ve officially kicked off the start of production on “Quarantine 2: Terminal” director John Pogue’s latest, the supernatural/horror thriller “The Quiet Ones”. The film is headlined by Jared Harris (“Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows”) and Sam Claflin (“Snow White and the Huntsman”), with Erin Richards (late of Fox’s awesome but criminally undersupported show “Breaking In”, pictured below), Olivia Cooke (“The Secret of Crickley Hall”) and Rory Fleck-Byrne.
Inspired by true events, The Quiet Ones tells the story of an unorthodox, but charismatic Professor (Harris) who uses controversial methods and leads his best students off the grid to take part in a dangerous experiment: to create a poltergeist from negative human energy.
Sounds like a really bad, bad idea. But hey, who am I to tell a bunch of unorthodox science geeks what to do with their free time.
“The Quiet Ones” will do their experiment on location at Oxfordshire, England for, we presume, a 2013 release.
Hammer also has the sequel to “The Woman in Black” in the pipeline, to be called “The Woman In Black: Angels Of Death”, which would continue the story of the titular woman in black.
