Those must be some tasty snacks, I guess.
Jon Favreau, last seen directing hits like “Iron Man 2” and co-starring as Iron Man’s hapless flunky in “Iron Man 3”, will be getting back behind the camera (and in front of it) in “Chef”, a film that he will star in and direct. And because he’s calling the shots, Favreau has wisely cast Scarlett Johansson to play his love interest in the movie. Cause, damn, what’s the point of being a writer-actor-director if you can’t cast a hot babe and order her to fall madly in love with you in your movie? Exactamundo, kids.
In “Chef”, Favreau will play “a man who loses his chef job and starts up a food truck to reclaim his artistic promise and estranged family at the same time.”
Johansson, who co-starred in “Iron Man 2” with Favreau, will play a character name Molly, who is a restaurant manager and sometimes love interest of Favreau’s character.
“Chef” is based on a story idea and script by Favreau, and will co-star Favreau and Johanasson’s “Iron Man 2” buddy Robert Downey Jr. But it’s not just a big ol “Iron Man 2” reunion, though. Non-“Iron Man 2” folks like Sofia Vergara, John Leguizamo and Bobby Cannavale are also in the cast.
Favreau and company will cook up something good starting July 8th in Los Angeles.
