Jon Stewart To Host the Oscars Again

Industry trade Variety is reporting that The New York Times reported that diminutive faux talk show host Jon Stewart will host The Oscars telecast for the second time in three years. I guess last year’s host, Ellen DeGeneres, didn’t do very well. Or maybe she did. The fact is, I stopped watching the Oscars about six years ago, which may seem like a surprise for someone who runs as movie site, but can you blame me? This thing has gotten more boring than watching paint dry, and that’s insulting paint.

The worst part about the Oscar has to be those endless introductory speeches about everything and anything. They just go on and on. And don’t even get me started on the singing and dancing and prancing around, and laughing at how stupid Hollywood people are when they clap louder for this dead guy than the other dead guy.

But hey, maybe it’s just not my thing.

The 80th Annual Academy Awards will be held on the 24th of February at the Kodak Theater next year.
