This actually makes sense in a lot of ways, but as to it being true … well, I’ll leave that up to you folks. (Which, conveniently, takes me off the hook. See how that works?) According to the website HollywoodLife (via Playlist), Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been chosen by Christopher Nolan to play the villain in the third Batman film.
Now before you dismiss it, consider these facts:
Gordon-Levitt is one of the better young actors coming up in Hollywood today, and he can do both blockbuster and indie equally well, as he’s just proven with “Inception”, which also happens to be directed by Nolan. So Nolan already knows what Gordon-Levitt is capable of. And honestly, did anyone thought Heath Ledger could have pulled off The Joker in “The Dark Knight” before he actually pulled it off with flying colors?
So yes, the latest “Batman 3″ rumor is that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is the Riddler. It’s not nearly as crazy as it sounds. In fact, I think it would be downright brilliant casting if it was true.
