Josh Brolin is still looking for vengeance and he’s got a hammer to beat some information out of people with in four new images from Spike Lee’s remake of South Korean director Chan-wook Park’s “Oldboy”. Elizabeth Olsen is also in there, too, but we still haven’t gotten our first official look at Sharlto Copley as the villain yet. We’ve already seen Samuel L. Jackson in the trailer, though.
I have to admit, as much as I dig the original movie, the idea of Brolin seeking revenge with a hammer is just, well, too good to pass up.
OLDBOY is a provocative, visceral thriller that follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.
“Oldboy” co-stars Sharlto Copley, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Imperioli, and Lance Reddick.
It’s hammer time November 27th.
