Justice League: Doom Gets a Spiffy DVD Cover

Justice League: Doom (2012) Movie DVD Cover

Check out the DVD cover for “Justice League: Doom”, the latest in D.C. and Warner Bros.’ highly lucrative line of direct-to-DVD original animated movies based on the comic book company’s standalone storylines. As the title implies, it’s all about the Justice League again. And that means, of course, Batman and Supes, among others, but let’s face it, D.C. is Batman and Supes.

“Doom”, based on Mark Waid’s “Tower of Babel” story arc, finds members of the Justice League coming under attack by their enemies. It seems the bad guys have been armed with very secret information about each individual Justice Leaguer that makes them easy pickin’s. The real culprit, though? Batman. Yes, Batman.

The film, due out early 2012, will feature the voices of Tim Daly, Kevin Conroy, Susan Eisenberg, Nathan Fillion, Michael Rosenbaum, Carl Lumbly, Phil Morris, Olivia d’Abo, Alexis Denisof, and David Kaufman.

Nice Cover! The painted covers they’ve been getting are pretty sweet! So are the movies, and though I am dissapointed these are mostly centered around the big two I get it. Those have been the ones with the most solid numbers, despite alot of people stating “Wonder Woman” was their favorite, well before “Under the Red Hood.” I for one have enjoyed them all.

Wow, they’re already adding Cyborg as a member of the JL in the animated movies, huh?

I know nothing about this DVD and even less about the ‘Tower of Babel’ story arc but I’m a big fan of the character of Vandal Savage so I’m in. He’s aIways seemed like more of a Marvel villain to me. A cross between Sebastian Shaw, Kraven and Mr. Sinister! DC has some really cool villains. also really like how this is a re-writing of sorts to the legend of The Legion Of Doom. That is badass and as far as I know has never been done before now. Can’t wait to check this out.
