Since “Session 9″ director Brad Anderson’s “Stonehearst Asylum” was originally called “Eliza Graves,” also the name of Kate Beckinsale’s character in the movie, I sort of assumed she was the star, and that the movie would be centered entirely around her. Turns out, not so much. The movie has since gotten a new title, “Stonehearst Asylum,” which seems to be more appropriate since it’s actually all about Jim Sturgess’ character, with Beckinsale in a co-starring role. Of course, don’t tell the guys who made the movie posters that.
Anyways, check out the first trailer for “Stonehearst Asylum.” Yes, I’m pretty sure they gave away all of the film’s plot twists in the trailer. Who needs to be surprised anymore?
A recent medical school grad who takes a position at a mental institution soon finds himself taken with one of his colleagues — though he has no initial idea of a recent, horrifying staffing change.
Starring Kate Beckinsale, Ben Kingsley, Michael Caine, Jim Sturgess, Brendan Gleeson, David Thewlis, and Jason Flemyng.
