Director Francis Lawrence is promising that “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”, the sequel to last year’s massive hit “The Hunger Games”, will showcase more of the story’s love triangle between Katniss, Gale, and Peeta, something that didn’t really get a lot of attention in the first movie. I guess that’s cool if teenage love triangles are interesting to you. Personally, I’m checking in for the slaughterin’ in the arenas, but maybe that’s just me. I love a good ol fashion slaughterin’.

Check out a new extended TV spot for “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”. It’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before! (Probably untrue.)

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, with Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland.

Totally conflicted this November 22nd 2013.
