Check out some more goodies from Keanu Reeves’ “47 Ronin”, which looks like one hell of a visual feast. I gotta say, even if the movie turns out to be utter bunk, the film itself should look fantastic. Which kind of makes sense, since Carl Rinsch made his bones doing fancy commercials and whatnot. As with guys who did music videos before segueing into movies, they’re always very visually inclined. You just hope they remember to tie all that great looking scenes together with a coherent story.
Until then, check out two latest trailers, a domestic and a UK version, and a new one-sheet poster.
Keanu Reeves makes an explosive return to action-adventure in 47 Ronin. After a treacherous warlord kills their master and banishes their kind, 47 leaderless samurai vow to seek vengeance and restore honor to their people. Driven from their homes and dispersed across the land, this band of Ronin must seek the help of Kai (Reeves)—a half-breed they once rejected—as they fight their way across a savage world of mythic beasts, shape-shifting witchcraft and wondrous terrors. As this exiled, enslaved outcast becomes their most deadly weapon, he will transform into the hero who inspires this band of outnumbered rebels to seize eternity.
Starring Keanu Reeves, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tadanobu Asano, Rinko Kikuchi, and Ko Shibasaki.
The ronin battles on this December 25, 2013.
