Kelly Hu, Ving Rhames, and Scott Adkins play assassins that, along with 27 others, descend upon an unsuspecting town to engage in a battle royale where the last one standing leaves with $10 million in prize money. For some reason, the filmmakers thought it would be a good idea to introduce a priest played by Robert Carlyle into the mix, who gets mistaken for one of the assassins when he accidentally sips coffee with someone’s tracking device inside. Check out the trailer for the action-a-second “The Tournament” from director Scott Mann below.
Every seven years in an unsuspecting town, The Tournament takes place. A battle royale between 30 of the world’s deadliest assassins. The last man standing receiving the $10,000,000 cash prize and the title of Worlds No 1, which itself carries the legendary million dollar a bullet price tag.
Starring Kelly Hu, Ian Somerhalder, Robert Carlyle, Ving Rhames, Scott Adkins, Liam Cunningham , John Lynch, Craig Conway, Andy Nyman, Bashar Rahal , Rachel Grant, and directed by Scott Mann.
“The Tournament” lands on DVD in the Scandinavian countries December 1, 2009. Your best bet to see this thing will be one of those import DVDs.
Thanks to the boys at Scott Adkins Fanz for the heads up.
UPDATE: Had to swap the full trailer with this teaser trailer.
