Kerr Smith Joins My Bloody Valentine Remake

Patrick Lussier’s unfortunately gimmicky remake of “My Bloody Valentine”, since redubbed “My Valentine 3-D”, has gotten a new warm body to kill off in Kerr Smith (pictured), who joins a cast that already includes leads Jamie King and Jenson Ackles of TV’s Supernatural. The film is a remake of a 1981 slasher film about a murderer who kills those who celebrate Valentine’s Day, and, one presumes from the title, it’ll be shot in 3-D.

The Hollywood Reporter has more on the plot:

Axle is the husband of Sarah (King) and nemesis of Tom (Ackles). A Jan. 23, 2009, release is planned. Smith’s credits include “CSI: New York;” he is repped by Thruline Entertainment and Gersh.

After a career in movies, in flicks like “Final Destination” and “The Forsaken”, Smith seems to have gone to TV with a pretty extensive career on the tube on various shows like all three CSI shows, something called E-Ring, and something else called Justice. Obviously, besides the CSI shows, Kerr Smith picks some pretty bad TV choices, since shows he’s a regular on never seem to last more than a year.
