Citing the ever popular “scheduling conflicts”, Kevin Costner has dropped out of Quentin Tarantino’s slave Western “Django Unchained”.

Costner was supposed to play Ace Woody, trainer to the slaves and villain Calvin Candie’s right hand man. Candie, of course, will be play by Leonardo DiCaprio, looking to broaden his horizons by playing a bad guy for, I believe, the first time in his career.

Jamie Foxx will star as Django, a former slave turned bounty hunter who goes after Candie’s operation in order to save his beloved wife. Tarantino regulars Samuel L. Jackson and Christoph Waltz, as the German bounty hunter who teaches Django the ways of the gun, are also in the cast.

That’s too bad. His career could use a reboot and QT is good at doing that for people.
