Yesterday we reported a little hint about the potential villain in J.J. Abram’s “Star Trek” sequel. It was barely news, little more than an idea really. There have also been rumblings and speculation that Khan will make a return. Badass Digest has learned a couple more concrete things on the “Star Trek” front.
Khan will not be the villain. You would think this would go without saying, but people keep speculating. In fact, my source says that the film won’t be focused on a traditional ‘villain’ type at all.
The story will focus on a classic “Trek” character. And when I say classic, I mean a character who appeared in season one of the original series, when Gene Roddenberry was in charge.
Their unnamed source went on to say,
It’s definitely a character that will make fans of “TOS” excited. Think along the lines of Harry Mudd or Trelane or Gary Mitchell or the Talosians or the Horta. Actually it’s one of those that I named.
When asked for more clarification the source just laughed.
So there you have it. More cryptic tidbits about the “Star Trek” sequel to feed the rumor mill and create hearsay. While this doesn’t really tell you much, before long all of these little details are going to come together and form like Voltron to give a clearer picture of what the movie may or may not be about. Until then, speculate wildly, my pretties!
