Jeff Wadlow’s “Kick-Ass 2″ is due this June, which I have to say, is pretty fast. The film went from re-signing all the major players, adding in new ones (like Jim Carrey), to production and post-production very quickly. Still no word on when we can expect the first trailer, but until then, here’s a new image from the movie (via Entertainment Weekly) featuring the aforementioned Carrey (as Colonel Stars and Stripes) and Aaron Johnson’s Kick-Ass meeting in the streets.
The costumed high-school hero Kick-Ass joins with a group of normal citizens who have been inspired to fight crime in costume. Meanwhile, the Red Mist plots an act of revenge that will affect everyone Kick-Ass knows.
The comic book movie sequel also stars Chloe Grace Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, John Leguizamo, Nicolas Cage, Lyndsy Fonseca, Donald Faison, Lindy Booth, Morris Chestnut, and Yancy Butler.
