Kick Ass Trailer No. 2 Spills More Plot, More Kick Ass

Saw this in front of “Daybreakers”, the second full trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s “Kick Ass”. It offers a lot more plot details (well okay, what passes for plot) than previous trailers, including more focus on the other characters in the movie other than Kick Ass, including Mark Strong as the villain. We also see more of Red Mist and his groovy Red Mist mobile, or whatever he calls it.

Starring Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloe Grace Moretz, Nicolas Cage and Lyndsy Fonseca, and directed by Matthew Vaughn. Based on the comic book by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.

Kick some ass April 16, 2010.

is this a spoof of the Batman Franchise? or is this a comedy satirical movie in general? This movies seems like an extension of the SuperHero Movie series. I hope its genuinely more funny and not idiotically funny i.e. funny for retards.

No it is not a spoof of the Batman Franchise nor an extension/sequel to Superhero Movie. “Kick-Ass” is based upon the comic book series of the same name by Mark Millar. It is a satirical look at the life of a real life superhero and how it would be disastrous for someone to even think they could attempt to be one. kind of like “Blankman” but edgier, bloodier , and definitely for adults only.

Looks great. Mark Millar is crazy. First “Wanted” (Great comic, okay action flick-just not a great comic adaptation) now this. Waiting for the trade of “Kick-Ass.” My one issue…making Big Daddy look like Batman. But whatever.
