Kiefer Sutherland Says 24 Movie Will Start Shooting in 8 Months or So

According to Kiefer Sutherland, a “24” movie will be going into production sometime next year. This, despite news that a script by screenwriter Billy Ray for the big-screen of the popular action-adventure show had been rejected by the brilliant minds over at FOX studios.

Sutherland tells Extra:

It’s a very difficult thing to take something you’ve done for eight years, almost two hundred episodes, and try to find a story that’s going to be unique and yet service the history of the show as well, and that’s to be expected.

He adds that he hopes to start shooting the movie by either December or January of 2012.

A tad optimistic on his part? Perhaps, perhaps not.
