Batman has a kid. Did you know that? I didn’t know that. But yup, he apparently has a kid. Although given his cover as a playboy, I thought it would be with some high-flyin’ socialite, and not one of them assassin types. What would Catwoman say? Hopefully we’ll find out in D.C.’s new animated movie “Son of Batman,” which you can check out a clip from below, check it outers.

And oh yeah, some new images from the movie, too.

Batman learns he has a son, Damian – and to further complicate matters, the mother is Talia al Ghul, daughter of one of his most dreaded enemies, Ra’s Al Ghul. When the odds quickly turn against Batman and Damian, Batman must become both father and mentor to the aggressive, agile new Robin. Together they form an uneasy alliance to try and thwart the criminal enterprise of Deathstroke and his army of ninja man-bats before there are international consequences.

Featuring the voices of Jason O’Mara and Stuart Allan as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Damian, respectively, along with Thomas Gibson as Deathstroke, Morena Baccarin as Talia, Xander Berkeley as Langstrom, David McCallum as Alfred, Giancarlo Esposito as Ra’s Al Ghul, Sean Maher as Nightwing/Dick Grayson, and Bruce Thomas as Gordon.

Bats and son arrive this May 6th.

YES!!! I love DC’s animated flicks! They find ways to retell stories and still make them fresh. Like this for example. It was written WAY before the New 52, but the film setting is New 52, and of course there will be some major changes, but I have faith in the writers. Like I believe there will be a Dick Vs. Damian fight instead of Tim Vs Damian. Which is fine cause though Dick is older he’ll be holding back and Damian won’t be. I really hope that they do a Batman and Robin flick with Dick and Damian. Some good stories came out of that run.
