Killshot Poster and Images

“Killshot” is from the Weinstein Company, and stars Mickey Rourke, Diane Lane, and Thomas Jane. For my money, anything with Rourke as an “over-the-hill hitman” should be worth seeing, but if the Rourkester is not your thing, how about “Killshot” being based on a novel by crime writer Elmore Leonard of “Get Shorty” and “Out of Sight” fame? No? That still didn’t do it for ya? Well then this poster for the movie probably won’t help a whole lot, as it ain’t exactly what you would call easy on the eyes or all that appealing, being that it sells Mickey Rourke and Diane Lane as its main draw. Then again, maybe this movie is not meant to be a blockbuster, which may explain why it’s only opening in limited release January 23rd.

From Academy Award nominated director John Madden (“Shakespeare in Love”) comes Hossein Amini’s wry adaptation of Elmore Leonard’s best-selling crime novel. The beautiful Carmen Colson (Diane Lane) and her husband Wayne (Thomas Jane) become entangled in a scam with a bumbling, small time con artist (Joseph Gordon Levitt) and his over-the-hill hitman partner the Blackbird (Mickey Rourke). Ultimately, it all comes down to one wife, one husband, two killers…and one lethal killshot.

Starring Diane Lane, Mickey Rourke, Thomas Jane, Rosario Dawson, Johnny Knoxville, and directed by John Madden, whose last big movie was “Shakespeare in Love”.
