Jon Snow may know cosmic superpowers. The actor who plays the character Jon Snow on HBO’s “Game of Thrones”, Kit Harington, is among six actors currently testing for roles in Fox’s upcoming “Fantastic Four” reboot.
The trades are reporting that Harington is joined by Jack O’Connell and Miles Teller as actors who are “in line to get test offers to read” for the role of Reed Richards in the upcoming reboot. Now, read that again. They are in line to get test offers to read for the role. They haven’t even tested yet.
At the moment, they’re just names on a list. Or NOLA, as we like to call them.
Meanwhile, Saoirse Ronan, Kate Mara and Margot Robbie are currently lining up to test for the role of Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Girl. Ronan, of course, is probably the biggest name, and is apparently testing for just about every role out there. She was previously rumored for an “Avengers 2” gig, and she recently tested for the “Star Wars” movie. Apparently you can’t test for movies without Ronan.
As for the other ladies, you might know Mara from “Shooter” and recently “Deadfall”. I have no idea who Robbie is.
“Chronicle’s” Michael B. Jordan, meanwhile, is still said to be the only actor who is on tap to play Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch so far. If he does land the gig, he would be re-teaming with his “Chronicle” helmer Josh Trank, who was snatched up by Fox to reboot the film last year.
Of course, these are all just names on a list that someone leaked to one of the trades, so who knows what (if anything) will come from it.
It’s amusing to note that trades didn’t used to report things like this, until movie blogs started doing it. Honestly, I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.
