I haven’t seen Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg’s “Kon-Tiki”, but apparently it must have been really good, because the Norwegian directing duo have landed the cushy job of directing Johnny Depp as he Jack Sparrows his way through another “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie in a few years.
It’s still way, WAY early, of course, so there are no plot details about what kind of trouble Sparrow will find himself in in the fifth installment, though I suspect it will involve pirates, piracy, and stuffy English dudes trying to stop said pirates from doing said piracy. I could be wrong, of course.
And oh yeah, supernatural shenanigans too, most likely.
But like I said, the film is still a long ways off, and won’t even wash up ashore in a theater near you for another two years, on July 10, 2015.
