Latest The Road Trailer Offers Voiceover and … Hope?

Apparently the studio has figured out that John Hillcoat’s faithful adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s novel “The Road” is a tad, shall we say, light on the pep. That might be the primary reason behind this new trailer (via Yahoo!), which seems to be trying to convince you things might work out for our father and son team as they wander the apocalypse, dodging cannibals and other assorted scoundrels. You can see for yourself if there’s any salvation at the end of “The Road” when it opens November 25, 2009. Until then, you can read our review of the movie here.
