The buzz surrounding the Ford Brothers’ upcoming dramatic zombie saga “The Dead” has been enormous, though if you ask me, it looks a lot like “Resident Evil 5”. Maybe I’m selling the film short because I’ve watched more zombie movies in the past three years than I have in my entire life. Maybe my tolerance for straightforward living dead flicks has finally reached its breaking point. Or maybe, just maybe, the film is being a tad overhyped. Regardless of how I feel about the project, there are quite a few people out there who seem to think this thing is the bee’s knees, so perhaps I need to toss all of my dodgy preconceived notions to the wayside. Then again, maybe not.
Here are the specifics:
In the very near future, most of the world has succumbed to the virus of the living dead. After crashing off the coast of Africa, Lt. Brian Murphy battles for survival across the terrible terrain of Africa in search of a way to get back to his beloved family in the USA. Saved by local military man Daniel Dembele, who is also searching for his son, both men join forces, all the while battling against the ever-present threat of the living dead.
Interesting? Could be. Thanks to Twitch for the video and the synopsis.
