You won’t be surprised to learn that for a guy who can fly, leap tall buildings in a single bound, and is faster than a speeding bullet, ol Superman has quite a number of groovy powers. Norton, the company that makes those bulky, absolutely frustrating set of security software that comes bundled with your new PC, has put out a series of featurettes exploring Supe’s superpowers, while at the same time, of course, hawking their wares. It’s called cross-promotion, kids.
So what exactly makes Superman tick? I haven’t a clue, but these featurettes (combined here in one video so you won’t have to click too many videos to play — I know that can be very, very difficult for some of you) explains things. There are some new footage to boot, so that’s a plus.
Clark Kent/Kal-El is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha and Jonathan Kent, Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.
