Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes are Gods in Clash of the Titans Remake

Looks like Louis Leterrier isn’t effin’ around when it comes to casting heavyweights for his movie. The film’s leading people may be young hearthrobs and hotties, but ol Louis has cast both Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes as warring Gods to balance out the fluffy center. Rumor has had Neeson in the role of Zeus for a while now, but his personal tragedy was believed to have led to him abandoning the project. This is apparently not the case.

With Neeson playing Zeus, Godly daddy to the film’s hero Perseus (Aussie Sam Worthington), THR says Fiennes will be playing Hades, the ruler of the underworld who covets Zeus’ Big Man on Campus status. I’m betting it’s all the mortal tail Zeus gets. Hades is such a poser that way.

The two join a cast that already includes Mads Mikkelsen, Gemma Arterton and Alexa Davalos. Louis Leterrier is directing the remake for Warner Bros. and Legendary.

Below: It’s the beard. Mortal chicks dig the beard. The whole lightning thing helps, too.
