Liam Neeson is back — and for the last time? — in “Taken 3,” which finds the man with a very specific set of skills once again taking on a variety of foes — this time it’s the LAPD! And, uh, Forest Whitaker, too. The poster for the film also declares that “It ends here,” which likely means this is the last movie in the series. Makes sense, since they’re killing off the wife played by Famke Janssen. I mean, what’s left, killing off the daughter? Not gonna happen.
Anyhoos. Check out your first trailer and poster for Olivier Megaton’s “Taken 3.” I’m not going to dignify the movie’s attempt at a “clever” title by typing it out.
Liam Neeson returns as ex-covert operative Bryan Mills, whose reconciliation with his ex-wife is tragically cut short when she is brutally murdered. Consumed with rage, and framed for the crime, he goes on the run to evade the relentless pursuit of the CIA, FBI and the police. For one last time, Mills must use his “particular set of skills,” to track down the real killers, exact his unique brand of justice, and protect the only thing that matters to him now – his daughter.
Starring Liam Neeson, Forest Whitaker, Famke Janssen and Maggie Grace.
Not taking it lying down next year, January 9, 2015.
