Rejoice, Joss Whedon fans! Lionsgate has arrived on a white horse to salvage the Whedon-produced/co-scripted “The Cabin in the Woods” from the black hole of infamy that is MGM and will distribute the film as early as this October, reports Deadline.
The long-delayed “Woods”, which was originally slated for release way back in 2009, stars Richard Jenkins, Bradley Whitford, Jesse Williams, Fran Kranz, Kristen Connolly, Anna Hutchison, Brian J. White, and Amy Acker. It also co-stars Chris Hemsworth, “Thor” himself, who is re-teaming with Whedon on Marvel Studios’ big-budget “The Avengers”.
So does this mean we’ll see some “The Cabin in the Woods” trailer soon? Or hell, some actual honest to goodness images from the movie besides some photoshop posters? One can only hope.
