Loki Gets No Respect from Kids

Loki shows up intermittently in the early parts of “Thor: The Dark World”, but he doesn’t really join in on the fun until about an hour into the movie. And yes, it’s quite fun. Let’s face it, Thor is the star, and his name is on the title of the franchise and everything, but everyone sees “Thor” movies for bad guy Loki. It doesn’t hurt to have a fantastic actor like Tom Hiddleston playing the role.

With “Thor: The Dark World” set to open this Friday, mischievous Loki is going around trying to drum up some support for his character. Here he is with a bunch of kids via Comedy Central, trying to convince them that Loki is so much cooler than Thor.

How does it work out? Mostly it works out, except for that mouthy little girl. This’ll learn ‘er.

“Thor: The Dark World”, directed by Alan Taylor, also stars Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman, with Christopher Eccleston as the bad guy.

To paraphrase Cinemasins, “Loki is a dick to gingers”.

Between stuff like this and his Owen Wilson impersonation, I get the feeling Hiddleston’s has pretty good comedy streak that really hasn’t been tapped yet. It’d be great to see him in a bro comedy with someone like Chris Evans or Ryan Reynolds. Or even better, Cumberbatch.

A Loki Deadpool buddy comedy, yeah I’d watch that!

Hell, just Hiddleston’s head would do the trick. “Deadpool and Headpool”
