And I could be wrong, but around the 2:30 mark, I think Svetlana Khodchenkova’s Viper character finally earns her name. Watch out for the spit, Wolverine!

Check out a new 3-minute featurette for James Mangold’s upcoming “The Wolverine”, a film that, we’re told, tells the ronin-like story of everyone’s favorite angry mutant. I’m still not sure why Wolverine would want to get rid of his healing factor. But hey, I haven’t been around for hundreds of years, so what do I know. Still, I could think of a LOT of things to do with a healing factor. I would like totally dominate all those extreme sports. Radical, man!

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he will face a host of unexpected and deadly opponents in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality.

Starring Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Famke Janssen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Brian Tee, Hal Yamanouchi, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Rila Fukushima and Tao Okamoto.

The ronin prowls this July 26, 2013.

Agreed. It looks better and better. I really was underwhelmed by the first few trailers but I’m starting to like it more, the more they show it.

Anyone know if the Silver Samurai is a mech? It looks like it from some of the previews I’ve seen. Its like 20ft tall and moves…wierd. I am hoping its an actual person and not some cgi business.
