M. Night Shyamalan’s Secret Movie Plot Details Revealed

Secret movie project, M. Night? Yeah, well, not so much anymore, buddy.

Deadline, in an article about a new movie that Shyamalan’s production company will be producing called “Twelve Strangers” (which actually sounds pretty interesting in itself, plot details further down), also reveals the plot for that new movie Shyamalan will be making his next directorial gig after “The Last Airbender”, the film with Bruce Willis, Bradley Cooper, and Gwyneth Paltrow “loosely” attached to star in that was making the rounds in Hollywood. The movie was so secretive, only top execs were allowed to read the script, with a Shyamalan aid standing nearby waiting to snatch it up when they were done.

The film, still untitled, would star Cooper as a father “on a desperate search for his missing child. ” To help him on his quest, the father “taps into some supernatural powers to aid the search”, which will apparently head into “Taken” territory. No idea where Willis or Paltrow shows up, but Cooper will be the film’s star.

“Twelve Strangers”, meanwhile, was written by “Buried” writer Chris Sparling, and apparently involves “a jury deliberating a case involving the supernatural.” Sounds like an interesting idea for a movie. “Twelve Angry Men” with demons, perhaps?

'Wait, what? Someone stole my kid? Aw, man.'

This sounds intertesting. I sure would like to see Shyamalan do a movie as well as he did 6th Sense, Signs, & The Villiage and stay true to what he does best – keeping us in suspense. The Happening was a waste and I'm sure Airbender will make $, but I hope his next project returns to his “Alford Hitchcock” roots.

This actually sounds like it could be a spiritual sequel to UNBREAKABLE. I'm seeing Willis returning as David Dunn from the first film to lend a hand to Bradley Cooper's character…..
