It seems like George Miller has been hard at work on “Mad Max: Fury Road” for ages. It’s been so long that I think Mel Gibson was still a young puppy when the movie was first announced, only to see Mel grow old and anti-semantic and kinda crazy. I blame it on the movie’s long development period.
Anyways, the movie is finally done (or done-ish, anyway, since we haven’t seen much from it yet), and here’s another good look at the new Mad Max, Tom Hardy and co-star Charlize Theron (who plays the (of course) ridiculously named Imperator Furiosa) on the cover of Entertainment Weekly.
How long ago was this movie shot? So long ago that Charlize Theron actually shaved her head for the role and it’s now all grown back in. Plus, Tom Hardy has since starred in 600 other movies, all of which will probably end up being released before “Mad Max: Fury Road.” What I’m trying to say is, it’s been a loooooooong road (see what I did there?) since this movie was in the works.
“Fury Road” also co-stars Nicholas Hoult, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough, and Shia’s former gal, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Max finally gets made again next year on May 15, 2015.
