Maleficent (2014) Movie Banner Poster

If you thought director Robert Stromberg’s and Disney’s “Maleficent” was all about fairies and princesses, well, you’re probably wrong. Check out a new trailer for the Angelina Jolie starrer, which reminds us that Angie once had wings, and she did really cool stuff with it, like fly and fight whole armies and such. Now that’s pretty cool, though if I had wings, I’d just, you know, fly around and whatnot. But hey, that’s just me.

Take a gander at the new trailer below, and a new banner poster above. And oh, there are a lot of new pics, too, so feel free to gander at those, too, ganderers.

“Maleficent” explores the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the classic “Sleeping Beauty” and the elements of her betrayal that ultimately turn her pure heart to stone. Driven by revenge and a fierce desire to protect the moors over which she presides, Maleficent cruelly places an irrevocable curse upon the human king’s newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Aurora is caught in the middle of the seething conflict between the forest kingdom she has grown to love and the human kingdom that holds her legacy. Maleficent realizes that Aurora may hold the key to peace in the land and is forced to take drastic actions that will change both worlds forever.

Starring Angelina Jolie, Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville.

Flapping in theaters this May 30th.

Could you imagine if they did this with some of their other films. They’ve been beaten to Snow White and Beauty and the Beast is coming too, but a Little Mermaid or Alladin with this much care would be pretty cool.
