Margot Robbie May be Swinging to Tarzan and Surviving Z for Zachariah

“The Wolf of Wall Street’s” Margot Robbie is on a roll. The Aussie actress is making the most of her Hollywood debut in the Martin Scorsese film, and may be on her way to the jungle with some half-naked dude name Tarzan. That is, if The Wrap is correct, and the actress is indeed “in talks” for the David Yates-directed movie.

She is also said to be in talks to replace Amanda Seyfried in the upcoming post-apocalyptic “Z for Zachariah.”

The plan, according to unnamed sources, is for Robbie to shoot “Zachariah” first, before jumping into the bigger budgeted “Tarzan” redo for “Harry Potter” director Yates. That movie would have her co-starring with Alexander Skarsgard, Christoph Waltz and Samuel L. Jackson. Can you guess which one of those guys will be playing the bare chested Tarzan?

Craig Zobel’s “Z for Zachariah” would star Robbie as “a young woman who believes she’s the only survivor after a devastating nuclear event, though she comes to learn she is not alone when two strangers wander onto her farm from the forest.” Those two strangers will be played by Chris Pine and Chiwetel Ejiofor. The film was originally set to shoot in late 2013, but Ejiofor’s Oscar campaign for “12 Years a Slave” delayed it, forcing Seyfried to bail on the project.

And, well, you know what “Tarzan” is all about, right? Kid raised by apes runs around in loincloth, etc.
